BARTEC EXgate™215 Hazardous Area Gateway & Communication Enclosure

The BARTEC EXgate™215 is a compact Zone 1 hazardous area communication enclosure designed for the safe deployment of IIoT gateways, wireless nodes and signal repeaters in potentially explosive environments.

Designed for Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas, the EXgate™215 provides a flexible platform for integrating standard electrical and wireless equipment, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth®, 4G/5G, industrial IoT gateways, wireless nodes and signal repeaters.

The Ex d enclosure allows standard electrical components to be installed within the certified hazardous area solution, simplifying equipment selection, maintenance and future replacement. A radio-frequency-transparent polycarbonate dome or glass option supports wireless equipment using internal or external antennas.

Manufactured from 316L stainless steel and designed for demanding offshore environments, the EXgate™215 provides IP66 protection as standard, with IP67 and IP68 available on request. Its corrosion-resistant construction makes it particularly suited to oil and gas, LNG, petrochemical, marine, offshore and other hazardous industrial applications.

The compact, lightweight design can be easily installed on walls or ceilings using the included quick-fix mounting bracket. Three M25 entries provide flexibility for cabling and connectorised interfaces, while multiple enclosure sizes allow a wide range of communication and IIoT equipment to be accommodated.

EXgate™ systems can be supplied fully assembled to customer requirements, providing a complete hazardous area communication solution with relevant documentation, including user manual, parts list, wiring diagram and, for ATEX-certified solutions, an EU Declaration of Conformity.
