The BARTEC EXgate™360 is a certified Zone 1 and Zone 21 wireless enclosure designed for deploying Wi-Fi access points, industrial radios, gateways and repeaters in hazardous areas and explosive atmospheres.

Designed specifically for hazardous area wireless networks, the EXgate™360 enables standard wireless communication equipment to be safely installed in Zone 1 environments. It supports a wide range of wireless technologies, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth®, 4G/LTE, 5G, BLE, Zigbee, WirelessHART and industrial IIoT gateway systems.

The enclosure combines a rugged 316L stainless steel body with a radio-frequency transparent polycarbonate dome, allowing wireless signals to pass through the enclosure while protecting the installed equipment.

With ATEX and IECEx certification, IP66 ingress protection and construction designed for harsh industrial environments, the EXgate™360 provides a robust solution for wireless connectivity across oil and gas, LNG, offshore, petrochemical, hydrogen, mining, marine and other hazardous area applications.

Built for Zone 1 Wireless Networks

Modern industrial facilities increasingly rely on wireless connectivity for process monitoring, automation, asset tracking, IIoT systems and connected workers. Deploying conventional wireless access points and communication equipment in a Zone 1 hazardous area, however, requires appropriate explosion protection.

The EXgate™360 hazardous area wireless enclosure allows compatible non-Ex communication equipment to be integrated into a certified enclosure system for use in explosive atmospheres.

Its RF-transparent polycarbonate dome supports wireless devices using internal or external antennas without significantly obstructing radio transmission, making the EXgate™360 particularly suited to hazardous area Wi-Fi, private LTE/5G networks and industrial wireless communications.
