INLEX-FLEX HDC Flexible Shipboard Power Cable

INLEX-FLEX HDC Flexible Shipboard Power Cable

INLEX-FLEX HDC is a flexible shipboard power cable designed for power and lighting circuits in marine and offshore installations. Rated at 0.6/1 kV, the cable combines flexibility, mechanical protection and resistance to harsh environmental conditions for demanding shipboard applications.

The cable uses finely stranded Class 5 tinned-copper conductors with EPR insulation, surrounded by flame-retardant neoprene bedding. A galvanised steel wire armour braid provides screening and mechanical protection, while intermediate tape layers assist with cable stripping and installation.

The assembly is protected by a flame-retardant neoprene (PCP) outer sheath resistant to mud, oil, Skydrol, petrol, acids, seawater, ozone and UV exposure. INLEX-FLEX HDC is designed and constructed to relevant IEC 60092 marine electrical standards and provides flame-retardant, fire-resistant and oil and fuel-resistant performance.

The cable is also suitable for hazardous area installations, including Ex d and Ex e applications, when terminated using appropriate IECEx-certified cable glands and installed in accordance with IEC 60079-14.
