IECEx-certified inspection and maintenance for electrical equipment in hazardous areas.

Inlex operates Australia’s first IECEx Certified Inspection and Maintenance Service Facility, providing unmatched assurance that inspection and maintenance activities are performed in full compliance with international standards.

Our systems, procedures, and personnel are independently assessed and subject to ongoing IECEx audits – giving our clients confidence that hazardous area assets are managed correctly, safely, and consistently across their lifecycle.

🔍 IECEx-Certified EEHA Inspections

At Inlex, EEHA inspections are treated as a critical asset integrity function. We deliver structured, defensible inspection programs aligned with AS/NZS (IEC) 60079-17 and IECEx requirements.

Our inspection services include:

  • Fixed Plant EEHA Inspections
Visual, close, and detailed inspections for onshore and offshore hazardous areas, supported by clear reporting and risk-based inspection intervals.

  • Portable & Transportable Equipment Inspections
IECEx-certified inspection and pre-mobilisation certification of temporary and transportable Ex equipment to prevent delays and non-compliance on site.

  • Pre-Mobilisation Inspections
Verification of zone suitability, temperature class, protection techniques, and documentation prior to equipment deployment.

  • Third-Party Verification & Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
Independent verification to confirm equipment compliance with AS/NZS (IEC) 60079 standards before commissioning.

  • HAVD & Documentation Review
Ongoing review and management of Hazardous Area Verification Dossiers to ensure records remain accurate, complete, and compliant as assets change.

👨‍🔧 Authorised IECEx Maintenance Services

Maintenance activities on Ex equipment must be carried out correctly – incorrect maintenance can invalidate certification and introduce serious risk.

As an IECEx-certified service facility, Inlex is authorised to maintain IECEx-certified equipment without the need to engage the original equipment manufacturer. This provides a faster, more cost-effective, and fully compliant maintenance pathway for operators.

Our maintenance services include:

  • Routine and corrective maintenance

  • Fault finding and rectification

  • Instrumentation and control calibration

  • Functional and operational testing

  • Process and system optimisation

All work is performed in accordance with certification requirements to preserve equipment integrity and compliance.

✔️ Rectification & Compliance Remediation

Non-conforming equipment or installations pose significant safety, operational, and regulatory risk. Inlex rapidly identifies non-compliances and delivers practical rectification solutions aligned with Australian and IECEx standards.

Our teams work collaboratively with site personnel to minimise disruption while restoring compliance and safe operation.

⚠️ Rope Access for Hazardous Areas

As an IRATA-accredited company, Inlex delivers inspection and maintenance services using rope access where conventional access methods are impractical or costly.

Our rope access capability allows us to:

  • Safely reach difficult or elevated Ex equipment

  • Reduce the need for scaffolding or shutdowns

  • Improve safety outcomes and reduce overall project cost

We also utilise specialist digital systems to manage rope access equipment, inspections, and certification – providing real-time tracking and reporting.

🚁 Mobilisation & Coverage

Inlex inspection and maintenance teams are equipped to mobilise rapidly to:

  • Onshore and offshore facilities

  • Remote and high-risk locations

  • Domestic and international sites

This flexibility ensures consistent inspection quality and compliance wherever your assets operate.
